I'd like to thank Becky and Vic for a fun contest. I'm known for my never ending projects, most of which never get finished. The deadline kicked me into action and forced me to finish something I never would have even tried without the encouragement and inspiration here. Love this forum!

Thanks Debbie! I agree about the never ending projects. Deadlines are goo. And now we all have little nests to adorn our bookshelves or tables!

I made a female cardinal to go with my boy. I have them with a wire in their back to hang them. Love the bird nest contest. thank you girls....

It does pay to advertise. I have already rented mine to a lovely pair of shorebirds for the entire month of September. The birds are both "gull" birds and not "buoy" birds so I believe they know how to clean up after themselves fairly well. They will no doubt leave the feathered nest as clean as they found it ... unlike some buoys who don't know a thing about cleaning. Late vacationers they are, but they like to be at the ocean when the beaches are not crowded. Me too.
