I can move this to the correct entry. We don't have one for Rita, but we do have Optimara Rita. Is that it?

African Violet (Streptocarpus 'Rhapsodie Rita')

Actually, both are Rhapsodie. Both Rhapsodies are Optimara. If you go to www.myviolet.com , many of Optimara's AVs are listed.

I found pictures of both on this Optimara Web page. They certainly look alike.

It's very confusing. MyViolet.com lists both as part of the Rhapsodie series. Optimara says Anika is part of the Rhapsodie series, but not Optimara Rita, and it lists the name as "Optimara Rita," whereas Anika is just "Anika," without the Optimara. So, in our database, we have listings for some African Violets with cultivar names starting with "Optimara," some with cultivar names starting with "Rhapsodie," and some with "Rhapsodie" listed as the series, but not as part of the cultivar name. There might be some duplicates in the bunch, and it would be better if there were some uniformity in the cultivar names.

There are other Optimara sites too, like this one: http://www.optimara.com/optima... or just the field guide: http://www.optimara.com/optima...

Lowe's and Home Depot sell Optimara's as well as Woodhill Greenhouses out of Canada: woodhillgreenhouses.com

Many of my Optimaras are from leaves. Rita blooms her little heart out. And the blooms change colors! sometimes they are almost white, pink, maroon, thumb print or striped! Today they are light pink and fuchsia chimera.

I have a new crop of leaves from a gal in Texas. I can send pics as soon as I get a bloom. Smiling
