That was a Beta test for Dave's new swap program. DogsNDaylilies and I are each hosting our own swap using Dave system. Both our swaps will be in January. If you are interest you can go to this page and check them out.

http://garden.org/apps/swap/

Mine is the "Hibiscus and Wildflower Swap" @DogsNDaylilies is hosting "DnD's All Seeds Swap"
Her's is open to all seed, and mine is limited to as the name suggest Hibiscus and Wildflowers.

Reid, Dave has programmed a swap system that is really pretty awesome! There are the 2 present swaps and anyone that wants to can host a swap, just by contacting Dave. After that it's all up to the host -- what you want for the "theme," the dates for starting, ending, etc., the number of people that can participate, etc. I really had a lot of fun participating in the "beta test" !!

Reid, Here is a link to the All Seeds Swap that I'm hosting in just a couple of weeks. Registration just opened and we'd love to have you join!

(You can always access the seed swaps using the blue/white links to the left side of your screen, too.)

@Anderwood , if you know other people interested in seed swapping, please get the word out to them! I'm hoping to get a great turnout for this so we all have a bunch of seeds to choose from!

If you can put together 3 packets of seeds, any quantity per packet, you have enough. ;) I purposefully made it easy for everyone to join, so if you're interested, don't let your number of seed packets stop you. Thumbs up

Sounds good. I should be able to put in at least five packets.

So to clarify...if I send say five packets, I will get five different packets in return?

Not unless the host has stated that in the rules. The system does not currently limit how many you can choose. At the start of each swap day you will be given a certain number of ticket to "purchase" seeds. Each day that number will increase by that numbers. In may swap on day one you will get 4 tickets, on day two 8, on day three 12 etc. There is also the possibility of earning bonus tickets in people choose your seeds.

You will likely end up with quite a few more than that. nodding

Reid -- You'll have a chance to select the seeds you want from the other participants; it's a pretty slick system!
