Has anyone else seen the new types of Poinsettias that have come on the market this year? They are quite stunning. I was lucky enough to be given this one last night.

I was told they are Euphorbia hybrids referred to as 'Princettia'. Here is an article.

I will definitely place the plant in my landscape after the Holidays!

Wow, that really is lovely Hetty. I haven't gone looking for a poinsettia yet this year, but now I think I will!

They probably don't have those at Home Depot . . . I'll try my favorite nursery.

That is a really beautiful Poinsettia, Hetty. All I see available in grocery and big-box stores are the typical ones. I will keep an eye out for some like this. We always just "trash" the plants after the holidays, but love to have groupings of them to add color to the house.

I have a feeling that with all the FL nurseries available, y'all get stuff first and than the rest of us (the other 49 states) get some trickled down. Sighing!

My local nursery were getting them in today. I only saw them wrapped in the clear package. I thought they looked different and thought they were just dyed to look different. I will go back tomorrow and see what they want for them.

This nursery get unusual plants because they are in the FTD group and make specialty plant gift baskets for delivery. They sell their extra plants in the houseplant area that they do not use in the baskets.

Lucky you, @Cinta. That's just great that you have found a source for these new and beautiful poinsettia plants.

Did you get my T-Mail?

Princettia has a lovely flower for sure. I have not seen them and I did go to two nurseries last week that usually have the hottest plants and nada.

I did see this one which I thought was pretty but not all that unusual.

Thank you, that was one plant in a large basket with the maidenhair fern planted around the edges. Sighing! , I don't buy plants I consider "throw aways" anymore and it is too much trouble to keep poinsettias from year to year without a greenhouse so I just take pictures and drool whenever I look at them.
