Very nice photos.

I have 2 cameras that I use - one is a DSLR Nikon 3100 and the other is a little Sony point and shoot DSC H55. I've had my little point and shoot for about 6 years, and the Nikon going on 3. I LOVE the sony. It takes great photos, I can tuck it in my pocket and carry it anywhere, and it's always dependable. Best of all it wasn't expensive.

The Nikon is another story. Have to fuss with too many settings, change lenses, and have to lug around a camera bag. I bought it as a bundle package 3 years ago. Have to admit it took stunningly beautiful photos ... until recently. The camera is no longer covered by a warranty and I had never renewed it. NOW one of the lenses ( standard lens) refuses to autofocus. It's too expensive to pay to have it repaired - I checked it out and the store wanted a little less than half of what I had paid for the whole bundle. At least the telephoto lense works fine. So now I take all my long range shots with the Nikon and my trusty little Sony does all the rest! I might break down eventually and look online for a good price on a standard lense with a warranty and make sure I RENEW it.

Happy gardening,
Jane

Hi Jane,..thank you!,..i was lucky with those shots in that they came out clear,..the Android Phone is a Sony and can take good clear pictures,..but not every time,..i suppose i was so used to the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 that anything in comparison isn't as good,..your Sony DSC-H55 must be very similar and as you mentioned so convenient to be able to tuck it in a pocket.

Good luck with the online search for a good price,..if you break down and go for it that is Whistling ,..still you have the long range shots with the Nikon,..while the Sony does all the rest Thumbs up ,..you can still cope very well.
