This must be the tallest Crocosmia I've ever seen! I know it says 48 inches but half of that is what I see. Would love to grow some of that height. Do you feed them?

Thanks. I occasionally feed my perennial beds with an organic fertilizer, although I haven't for the past 2 seasons (due to laziness). I do mulch in the spring and fall with a compost mix. I find that most plants exeed their stated size for me - I think it is my temperate climate. Lucifer gets all of 48" and then some for me. I have to be diligent about cutting back the 'leaners' or he will pretty much over-bully his companion plants. I do love the fountain shape, and the hummers go nuts over the blooms.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
