I bought a large bag of commercial "sun & shade mix" on clearance at the feed store a couple weeks ago. I didn't think about the date until I'd already packaged them up. To compensate for this, I've made 2 packets as 1. I have about 20 of these I would include in the swap if acceptable. Would this be acceptable?

I don't see why not. It was probably packed for 2015 so the seed should be good. No one will complain about getting extra seed!

Sure! If there's ever something about a pack of seeds you think is important to mention, there's the chance to add that in the description when you add the seed. You are certainly welcome to add it. Thumbs up

If the box has any listing of the plants in the mix, that would be a great thing to include as a comment ... if it isn't hugely too long to type in. After planting a mix, and getting some survivors, I like being able to guess what each plant is. If the mix lists a variety that I guessed, that was probably the right guess.

That's how I found out that Alyssum does very well in my climate, even growing happily out of cracks in a concrete sidewalk and reseeding from there. They were the only ones that really thrived from a mix I planted, and then they came back the next year.

I wrote all the varieties listed on the bag. Each seed packet will also have a list.

I know this not exactly relevant However I thought you might , maybe , see the humor of my goat ate the Homework story ,
I cleaned the Florida Broadleaf Mustard pods ,, their sitting in a white cup , with my items at the end of a table , I go off to clean up and grab a bite to eat ,
took a short nap ,
I come back and there is granny dipping cat litter with my Mustard seed cup ,, ,,

Hope the dump enjoys them ,,,
A little humor for you all ,, very little , except I did laugh ..

I forgot ,, this is about not listing or describing until finished , as some had suggested , and that, most seeds do not get that old around here ,

Ewwwww! At least you didn't try to salvage the seeds! Not sure anyone would have wanted them after that. Hilarious!

It is one of those things that Happen , Like listing , The mimulus you are looking for I presume had been the Allegheny blue Midwest , I have the shelf mix and a Pink , so while their near , your still looking ,
I have several near , only nothing exact , (etc , one of those things )
Every once in a while everything happens and is perfect , ( then there is the remainder of most of the time ,, Hilarious!
Still have tatsoi and others of the greens to finish ,
I might or might not make it ,,
I post a few pictures of my garden seeds , as to it might or might not help a few decide if they want to trade for them or not , Trying to be straight forward about choice
