We love to talk about all aspects of weather, the effect on our gardens, and on our lives. It's a good place to keep a record of weather in our gardens from year to year too, so for that reason let's stay as close to the topic as we can. Please join us and tell us about your weather.

Here we are at the first day of winter....
Our winter image is of a maple tree coated in ice back in Dec. 2008 after an ice storm.

We came from the Fall 2015 thread which can be found here....

The thread "Weather in your garden ~ Fall 2015 (closed)" in Daylilies forum

This was really cute Natalie, hope you don't mind I copied it over to the new thread.

By this time last year we were already near hip deep in snow in my area of Vermont, this year we have only a dusting on the ground. Our daytime temperatures have been in the 40's and 50's...I'm still running around outside in a sweatshirt!

Happy birthday, Ann!! Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful down here! Supposed to be somewhere in the 70's. Last few evenings have been 10-15 degrees higher than predicted so the orchids are still out on their shelves on the back patio. Really getting a lot done in the garden!

Have a lovely day! Thumbs up Thumbs up

It was down to 38F this morning. Unlike Cindy, there will be no rain. They are calling for a high of 63F.

Thank you Jean, Margaret, Mayo & Kelli! Thank You!

We're just shy of 72 degrees, it was heavily overcast but the sun is now trying to peek through weakly, partially. Humid @ 74% and a predicted high of 77 today. Low to be 64.

It looks like about 80 degrees for us. Probably a little less considering the location I use. If I am comfortable working outside on Christmas day I celebrate. It's just my DH and me and I don't have to cook. A dear friend from Naples, IT, owns 2 restaurants down here. He wants us to come by That's Amore late in the afternoon to pick up fresh raviolis for our Christmas dinner. He will provide everything, but I need to do a couple of baguettes to go with dinner. Easy, peasy. With a good light sparkly wine, it passes as a wonderful dinner.

Hope everyone else is looking forward to Christmas dinner. Group hug

Hey, great new thread. Yup, officially winter. Not that it feels like Winter in the great Northeast.

According to Weather Underground it will be record breaking mild high temps again for this time of year. Right now the high expected is 68 here for Christmas day. Fine by me, I love this mild spell we have been having.

Sounds delicious, Arlene! I've been craving raviolis lately! Just wish that there was an Italian deli here. We had the best Italian deli in the little town that I grew up in. I've never had raviolis as good as that since I moved away. Oh, and their marinara sauce was to die for!

The weather report still says we'll get some snow on Christmas. I sure hope so! To me, a white Christmas is when it is snowing. Having snow on the ground counts, but only a little. Hilarious!
Natalie
