I look forward to following the progress! Your casita looks nice and cozy. I have a tip that I learned a year ago...get one of those expansion shower curtain rods (the kind that you just "press fit" into the shower space) and place it inside the shower stall. If you have a shower curtain rod already up, you know how handy it is for drying wet towels etc. If you have a shower with a solid glass door, you probly use it the same way. Well, this DOUBLES the drying/hanging space. It really helps keep the bathroom less cluttered. I hang my damp bath mat and towels on the second (inside the tub) rod and I also use it to let wet sweaters and stuff drip dry. I have a small house, this really helps.

In my former/current home I used the side of a crib (crib rail) and suspended it over the bath area for hanging things. Your suggestion to add the second shower rod sounds perfect. Yep, I will do this, thank you.

Now that's a great idea! A crib side would be like those old fashioned "dryers" they used to hang over the coal stove/fireplace in my grandma's day. Now I'm going to be looking for one of those too! With pets and gardeners in the house, you can never have too many places to hang up wet things!

You do have a very nice setup, and I had to laugh at your going out the emergency window. We have a small travel trailer, and I've looked at that window and can't imagine any adult going out through it. I guess you do what you have to do in an emergency!
