Sure is Roberta, I live right outside the post. I was stationed there after Vietnam 70-72 with ASA then 75-79 ASA/MI then 82-86 MI on West Ft. Hood then when we came back from Korea I did my retirement there in 90. I then worked another 23yrs with various contractors on the ranges and retired from that job in 2013.

That's a long time in one place! I don't remember exactly how many weeks I trained at the hospital there, but I was there when we were told I was not going overseas as we all thought. Therefore I have good feelings for Ft Hood. To Ft Leonard Wood instead. I remember hot and dry, monsoon and muggy all of a sudden and no trees. I can't imagine growing orchids there.
