She could start at the same time we do, but when we begin it will be 1:00 am her time so she will wait. Her tickets will be waiting for her when she is up and ready. That happens to her in the piggy swap sometimes, too.
@Dave mentioned once that at some point hosts might be able to select the start time so maybe that will be a feature we will have in later swaps. Especially for recurring swaps it could be a fairness issue, especially with international traders.

Unfortunately even if we have control over the actual start time it still will be different for everyone. That's just the way it is when you have such a large membership spread over such a large area.

Yes, it happens, but particularly for recurring swaps with a following we try to move the time around so that no one is stuck with a 1:00 am start time every year.

I just found this swap. I was a member of the first swap using this system. It worked very well. It probably makes things easier for the host.

We have 25 swappers signed up. There are over 1300 different kinds of seeds offered. I started to count the packs but I have to get to work and don't have time.

There is no minimum to play, and the one item is a multi-pack offering, which is fine. The 2 who have nothing listed have until the opening of the swap tomorrow night, so they have time if they are still interested.

It is unfortunate that Heidi had to drop out. Now that she has found ATP and how the swaps here are going to work I hope she will come back in better times.

It won't be much longer until "dibs" fly.

Right Susie. Tomorrow evening everyone will start with 4 dibs, plus any bonus dibs they earn when their seeds are selected. The next night there will be 8 dibs, the next 12 and so on.

I'm sorry I thought it was at least three different items to join, not just the quantity.
I know they have until the beginning of the swap but I'd be rattled if I waited until the last minute Just making an observation

Holy cow! I can't believe tomorrow is starting time. For some reason I thought we had a few more days. Now I'm going to be up all night, excited and ready to go, just like a kid at Christmas!

Getting my seeds greened and adding some more. I'll be ready by tonight (2 am, checking to be sure the pipes aren't freezing or the kitchen sink overflowing). No problems, thank goodness. I threw in a batch of laundry for good measure. It is in the low single digits here. Yikes, I didn't even need a coat last week....
