My mom has this growing in her yard but she can't remember if this is a lychee or longan plant... can someone tell from the leaves? She grew it from a seed.

Hi Betsy,

I sprouted Longan seeds in pots last year and have since planted them in the ground. I'll take a picture at first daylight and post (it's 4 AM right now over here).

The leaves do look like yours, but then again, Longan and Lychee are related and I don't know what Lychee leaves look like.

I think it's Longan, Lychee 's leaves are smaller, and the plant itself will stay small. We had them both growing everywhere in my home town.seeding will take a longtime to put out any fruit.
