Another first bloom - Maui's beauty seedling. Per my experience, the parental characteristics will only show on second blooms. Excited to see what next year's bloom would look like.

We want pics Hetty! I actually have enough blooms to make a lei except the blooms ar sout of my reach and I hate climbing on ladders.

I accidentally broke my Hausten White bloom.

I have a single Hausten and am trying to root a couple of cuttings to increase my inventory. I love those flowers and their fragrance.

This one is the easiest to root and it grows like a weed. It blooms every year for me. The fragrance is not exceptional but I love the hug blooms, which are lei quality.

Yaaay! My " Thai Mango Blush" made it in time for this year's bloom with 2 inflos. Here is he first inflo's bloom and the second inflo is still 2 to 3 weeks away from blooming.

Pretty flowers, Gigi. How many of the seedlings have bloomed? If more than one, are they are alike or just similar?

This is the first seedling that bloomed. I still have 5 more that has not bloomed.

Per my experience with Maui's Beauty Seedling, where I have 3 seedlings that already bloomed, each seeding' bloom is similar but some have more intense color and others have paler blooms. The first year bloom is also different from the second year bloom.

When you register a seedling with the PSA, they don't even want you to do so (and submit the necessary photos) until the third blooming.

Good to know Ken! I have so many a few seedlings that bloomed already and several more that may bloom next year. I will be poor if I register all of them, so I will have to be very picky, if I do plan to register one.

How exactly does that work, Hetty? Ken? If I grow my seeds from my hand polinated plants one being DD's Delight, but the other is a NOID that I call Princess Pink and I think that one of them is a new / unique variety, can I register it even though I do not know what one of the parents actually is?
