They use irrigation in their garden. the west coast rhizomes are all big. You don't get that size here. Remember not to 'bury' the rhizome. They are a food storage stem, not a bulb.

I got my catalog yesterday. He has really good prices. I want more now. I was going through the pictures with company to see what her favorites were. So many people aren't familiar with modern iris.

Green! I love "green" irises. There are many SDB's with green, and I keep adding them to my collection. I would love a intermediate or TB that had the green veining of say, Snow Trees/Snow Peas. Or colors such as Granny Apple has. Yes, I know they are all Spoon iris in my examples but Don does great green iris!

My bad Lucy. I love Snow Tree. I think it would be beautiful in large form too.

I don't have a catalog yet. I am bummed out. I have 4" of the white stuff and it won't stop snowing for another 18 hours or so. I was away the last three days, so maybe my sister in law has it.

Yup, Narrow it down and ordering irises, that's an oxymoron for sure!

I had an email from Rick and Roger this morning letting me know they got the check I sent, which took 8 days to get there. He mentioned he's noticed folks saying they haven't received their catalogs yet and has been frustrated by the mail being so slow. Sounds like they should be arriving soon.
