I would like to add, that many of my Burseen's have outrageous names, but in their case I got them for the incredible looking blooms and the names are just icing on the cake! And it is pretty humorous icing!!

I like it. Thumbs up Has Burgard's opened for ordering ? *Blush* Sticking tongue out

Is there an Iris named Get r' Done ? If so, I need to get that one, since I don't have any that I purchased solely for the name. If I had one named that, then if I went through a little slump, I'd have to take a photo and put it in as large a form as possible on my refrigerator to remind me to put the hand to the plow. Smiling

This was my equivalent to receiving a Nintendo in the 80's. I love red/cirmsons and rebloomers. My first purchased and what will remain my most sacred. Funny thing, it looked so promising and gave me some 6 or so very Crappy blooms, but gave me 2 killer sized pods in return. I'll never share those into the database, but some have seen the pics. She's one i'll never forget though..
My second I had to get but haven't had a bloom yet comes from my home state, the BIG MITTEN.
What a awesome color combo too, didn't realize till now Lovey dubby

It is even nicer in person and gee, I wonder if that had anything to do with why I have it?!!!! Whistling (darn tootin' it is). I horde my MI Pride because it is getting hard to find and would hate to have mine die out.

Indeed she is one of the later openers. Not as late as Aitken's though. I think most vendors used to open in the spring but demand from iris obsessives has made it lucrative to open earlier.

I can tell you one I wont grow because of the name. It's Dodger Blue...I'm a SF Giants fan, there's no way that iris would be welcome in my garden. Glare
