My brown sinuata did not display any noticeable pollen on the first opened bloom at male anthesis, but the second bloom did produce a nice pollen drop. So this plant, hopefully, is fertile and will be usable in hybrid work. A third and fourth bloom are pending as of today, August 23, 2011.

Update - as of September 13, 2011, I have seen three sets of inflorescences on my "brown sinuata". Although no seed set is showing on the "brown sinuata" blooms themselves, pollen from them used on three or four other large Alocasias seems to have resulted in berry development all around. The shame is that I have no A. odora blooms to use the pollen on!
