Taken at a conservatory, I don't know if these are pods that are to bloom, or have bloomed. Regardless, they were striking.

I'm glad I clicked to find out what it was. I thought at first it might be a close up of one of those Heliconias. Oh, I just Googled to make sure I spelled that correctly and it says they're related to bananas, so I guess I was on the right track after all! It also reminds me of shark teeth lined up like that. Thumbs up

The banner is fabulous but I think it might be Strelitzia or Heliconia, too.

Not Bird of Paradise. Does look a but like a Heliconia parrot.

@Fleur569 - who identified it as Bananas? Plant label at the conservatory?

@mellielong, @Dutchlady1, @DavidLMO - in trying to confirm my information, searched out Google and while your identification as a Heliconia parrot plant probably is correct, I also looked up banana tree bloom and found the photo below identifying this as a banana tree bloom. My original photo is also attached below, and as it was photographed amidst growing bananas I labeled it as such. I could have made a mistake, but will be happy to correct it, and thank for catching that important detail.

There are some odd banana blooms, but my money is on Heliconia. They are cousin plants - so who cares. What is it? Pretty!

Extraordinary banner. It's got to be one of the very best ever for sure. It's wonderfully dramatic and almost prehistoric. I tip my hat to you.
