I like huge, but unfortunately it becomes kind of a back-breaking problem when I have to move that ginormous stuff in and out of the greenhouse. LOL

Yeah, that one would have you hating life. They're not only pretty tall, but the trunks are very stocky, much thicker than other palms when they're mature. There's one on my street that's probably 25ft. tall and the trunk must be 2ft. in diameter. You'd need a large forklift.

I have 3 brugs in 24 inch pots.............and yes, I usually DO move them myself. I have a loader tractor at my disposal, and if I really need the help the Spousal Unit will, but I usually do it on my own. But, I have to get them TO and FROM the tractor and then to or from the g'house or their spot in the yard.

A friend has a hand cart designed for the landscape industry. Big bucks but worth it for moving large, heavy containers.

I bought a heavy-duty one at our local Farm Supply store. However, when the plants/pots are so heavy it is hard for me to get it tipped so I can push it..................LOLOL BUT.............I am a farm girl, I have stamina. Green Grin!

I have had good luck with a pot lifter. It handles those large ceramic pots but it is a 2 person job. I draft anyone nearby to help.

Doesn't look like much but it easily carries 24" heavy ceramic pots with Japanese Maples for me.

I just went outside and took this picture of my Bismarckia nobilis to give some perspective as to size.

I bought that Bismarckia in a 7 gallon plastic pot at Home Depot for $25.00 about 12 years ago. I feed it 4 times a year with the UF 8-2-12 palm fertilizer made by Lesco. Even I am amazed at how well it is doing. By the way, if you are not using that fertilizer, you should. It has slow release nitrogen and potassium as well as good micronutrients including boron, etc. I am now using it on all of my landscape plants with good success.

Anna, when you move your palm in a few years, call me and I'll come up there with my camera. Hilarious!
