This is fairly common around our land in New Mexico. It really is a pretty one. Does anyone know an ID?

That looks like it, but mine is an untrained eye. I often think I've found ID's on plants or insects, and find out I'm wrong!

I'd say that's your best bet in NM--I think it is practically 'the state grasshopper' if there was such a thing
