Can anyone identify this plant? It has white pearl shaped flower. I think it's a perennial

My eyes aren't cooperating very well right now so this is a guess but I wonder if it could be Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum)? There are a few listed in the database: http://garden.org/plants/brows...

I was thinking of the False Solomon's Seal/Maianthemum racemosum . Just a guess on my part.
Was the photo taken at a botanical garden?

@greene, Good eye ... with the more erect flower stems, it does look more like False Solomon's Seal (Maianthemum racemosum)

I'm doubting though I am not familiar with this plant..
I've pointed out some elements that don't seem to agree with False Solomon's Seal
The leaves appear to grow in whorls not alternate..
The flower stem branches out..
The berries look to be dark blue..

Yep, I said mine was only a guess. Hope we discover the identity of this one because it looks like a keeper.

Hey I looked at the comparisons of the false solomons and it's not that. The stem is very thick and fleshy

Here's another pic of it. It is definitely s keeper that I took some cuttings of it at the garden. It produces spires of white flower in summer

At which garden? Was this a botanical garden, or someone's private garden? It may help to narrow down the possibilities.

Also, you say it blooms in the summer. So are these photos from a couple of months ago or is the plant currently in bloom.

Looks somewhat familiar. I wonder if it's a variety of Lysimachia?

The leaves overlap on a pseudostem like Zingiberaceae.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

The flowers are terminal, similar to Globba.

There's a lot of species ..

Look at the photo in the right column by Tony Rudd, labelled "Globba?"

Which of these Globba plants might have the blue colored seed pods?

In some pictures the leaves of Pollia japonica look close, not quite so much in others. It does have white flower spikes and blue berries. What do you all think - Google pics of Pollia japonica:

Also this page of foliage pics that do look close:

Great! It's a nice looking plant, and according to the websites hardier than it looks. Only downside, according to one of Janet's links, is that it may be invasive.

Yes when I was in the garden it was sending some rhizome into the mulched path so I did a little maintenance/cuttings Smiling
