Yes, I knew that Dave but what about after we thumbed it a week, a month ago. when it's on our thumbed list in our profile. How do we get it off that list?

Okay, I'm an idiot. I just tried unclicking a thumbs up I had given earlier today & by doing so it removed that from my list. I'm leaving my original question above in case others are idiots like me & don't understand how simple & thorough Dave has made it for us.

uh oh Dave......... I went to profile, clicked on the thumbs up given, went to two different ones......no gray thumb just a black line, tried clikcking that ....was a no go. Now what?

Its working now. Must have been operator err on my part.




well maybe mot. worked on some but not others I tried. I want to just keep them for tips and good info to have.

Thanks everso dave and Trish. What a fabby idea that you can search your 'thumbs ups' as bookmarks for very important stuff. I am a lousy searcher so this will help me alot

I was about to suggest putting a green thumb under the banner photo, but not if the intent is to signify valuable tips.

I think I've been using the tumbs half seriosuly and half frivolously: for funny, clever OR helpful things. Or anything I agreed storngly with.

Now, this isn't my strong suit, but in the future I'll give a bit of thought before clicking it!

I think the Thumbs Up should turn some other color than black when it gets clicked, RED perhaps?

The idea behind black was that it would "grey out" and no longer capture your attention. Making it red would bring it even more to your attention...

How often do you want to retract a thumbs-up? I don't see a reason to draw attention to that aspect of it.

Porkpal, it will still look green to the poster, unless the poster has given himself/herself a thumbs up. It only looks black to the person who has chosen to give the post a thumbs up.

I like it just fine the way it is.......... We shouldn't give Dave too hard a time after all. He may retract all the neat and cool features he's already given us. But a "sheepish" smiley would be good. I LOVE all the smileys...................................

They magically reappeared late this afternoon, with no rebooting on my part. Weird... (it would show me the (0) that said a post had no thumbs up, but never had a thumb to click). I'm back to being a thumb-clicking fool.
