I have had Real Wind for many years. Originally purchased at Seawright Daylilies, I think I've had this plant since the late 90's. It lives in a crowded part of Upper Daylily Hill, with lots of competition but it holds it's own. Usually blooming ML, it's a beautiful, welcome burst of color as things are winding down. It has a very distinctive face, that can't be mistaken for any other Daylily.
Last year was the first year that I kept any kind of track.
In 2021 RW bloomed from July 8- August 4, with at least 33 flowers. It must have enjoyed the cooler, rainier summer because this year…
2022, RW bloomed July 15 -August 2 with only 20 flowers. Heat and drought were not it's friend.
