This was last years, my 5th year of wintersowing, have pretty good germinating rate. But for 2016 I am not going to have as many, maybe 75 containers.

thank you all, those are Crimson Giant's and we love them. I usually sow 4 different types of radishes including Japanese daikon, here is my beets , I grow lots of beets spring and fall, and a few during winter under row cover. these are Detroit Red,

Whoa! What are you feeding them? I grow beets too but have never gotten them that big! You must have a pretty good sized garden.

Wow that is awesome, I am trying my first year of winter sowing outside, with the jug method outside vs the same species inside to see which works better. I am going to sow some annuals, perennials, and edibles. I hope I have even a fraction of your success, that will be exciting.

Impressive beets! I just made two lasagna/hugel beds this fall. I hope my beets get that big!
