Anyone familiar with this? Apparently it is a cross between Bergenia and Mukdenia. Looking at trying the variety called Nova Flame. Looks like an interesting and hardy foliage plant for a partly shady spot with burgundy edged shiny jagged leaves and pinkish flowers.

New to me. I do grow Mukdenia though and just tried Bergenia for the first time last year.

I have seen it on the Terra Nova site, but not at any garden centers so far. May try one if In the Country Garden carries them again this year.

I think Springcolor has this one, hopefully she will see this.

We have lots of bergenia and have mukdenia on my want list. Never heard of mukgenia, but it has very pretty leaves. Is it easy?

Mukgenia is a hybrid of bergenia and Mukdenia so expect it should be pretty hardy. On my list as well! Come on spring!

So far I have not seen a source to get one. Will have to keep it on the want list.
