Found this picture from last year an old Royal Heritage which I have for at least 10 years. It grows in full sun and is about 3 feet wide with at least 100 flowers on it. Love this plant.
Lynn your Rose Quartz looks great.

Bob that is an impressive plant.
I wonder how long it will take for mine to get that big, with that many blooms.

The online nursery where I got most of my hellebores from is only a few hours away from me, at the edge of my planting zone, and they have twice-yearly open house and sales. I wish I could go, but unfortunately I'm not physically able to travel that far. They have a marvelous hellebore sale!!!!

My little new hellebores all came in 3 inch nursery pots, so I have to practice patience.

Patience is NOT one of my natural virtues!! Hilarious!

BetNC I have noticed that the plants I planted near the cement wall (leaching lime I believe) are doing so much better! So I strongly urge you to put lime or some other alkaline into the soil around your plants, I really think it'll make a difference! Thumbs up And sending you patience patience patience! Hurray!

yes, y'all, I know my little 3 inch potted hellebores are brand new, never experienced a winter yet. . . that's why I call them my babies.

all of mine started out as little "babies" and, since I kept buying a few every year. . I have 4,3,2 and first winters plants. This year, all 'cept the 2015 "babies" (three of them) will be in bloom this winter.

And with those 3 in 2015. . I've officially closed their flower bed to any new additions. Now, all my hellibores need to get to growing, so I don't see so much bare ground!!!

I've got spring bulbs, perennials (decidous and evergreen) and what flower bed space I haver left, I'm devoting to ever-blooming annuals! Thumbs up

I'm also anticipating moving (one reason for detailed flower bed maps: I'm taking them all WITH ME!!! nodding

Yes, they really are your babies. You've watched them grow up. It becomes quite personal.
