I was showing and telling our granddaughter Isabella the peg game that is on every CrackerBarrel table.

"Bella, see these little skinny colored sticks? They are pointy and fit in these holes. You can jump over the sticks..or make faces with the sticks. It is a fun game, do you want to try it and play a game with me?"

"Honey, ( she calls me Honey ..never learned to say Grandma. )
those ARE NOT sticks...they are called pegs.....no, I don't want to play a game..I want to play Duck Duck Moose !

Cute! When my son was 4. he is 40 now, I still remember these things he said (and put things said in their baby books):
He was riding on a Ferris wheel and said he was going to poke holes in the clouds with his feet.

this one embarrassed me, my grandma called and he answered the phone and said she was grandma Sutton, he said, the one with wrinkles on your face?,
I thought you was dead.

I was very firm about potty mouth with the kids. Mostly because too many of the cousins had potty mouth. I knew it would stick.

One day Joshua ( now 38 ) came home from school telling me a boy in his class said the "B" word! He was VERY excited. I asked him what the word was...he said "MOM, THE B WORD!!" (and the boy "did not even get in trouble" ). Well my curiosity was piqued and I told him he could say it just that once. He refused .....he wanted me to guess. He gave me a hint....
"the B word...Ba...Ba... MOM! The B word....Ba...Ba"

After a few minutes, I got frustrated with him and told him it was his choice .....he could say it or not..but the topic was getting old.

Finally, he said Mom!! The b word!!! ...ba...ba....ba -GINA!!
