I nominate persicaria microcephala. I have one in my garden, passed to me 'over the garden gate' by another gardener. I am not even sure which persicaria it is.....I can't locate it on line. So perhaps I can't really nominate it because I am unsure of its provenance so to speak. I would like to nominate this plant because it has very interesting multi-colored foliage; an important feature for shade plants. Its leaves are white/green/& maroon. In my garden it has more white than anything else & this makes it very eye-catching. If any one can better identify it, please let me know. It does bloom, very interesting, stems with tiny bright pink/maroon balls attached. No actual 'flower' in the usual way.
I am new to this forum....I do not know how to link this post to the plant data base. I'll try this copy & paste:
