Dnd, I got my seeds this morning! I cannot tell you all how genuinely surprised I was and how very ecstatic I am over what was sent to me. You all have been a blessing to me.

I received some bonus seeds packed into seed bags that were just awesome. Dnd, how did you know? I read the letter and it just warmed my heart but still. You did a great job picking out bonus seeds for me. The daylilies were definitely what I would have wanted first and then you sent me cilantro. Cilantro is hands down my favorite herb and I really felt like I was going to have to buy more seed this year since I missed yours in the swap. I also needed those asters. No matter what color, lol. After the swap I've been making my garden plans and what I needed and I thought, you know, I need some asters to go with some of this.

Rick... I have not forgotten you. Oh my gosh! My chinese is going to be heavenly this summer. I did not expect the lettuces and bok choy and pak choy you sent outside of what I traded from you. I'm so excited to try these lettuces as well. I have to agree that grocery store lettuce is watered down. I have felt that way for years but now, I get to grow my own. I'm tickled pink! And I will not lie, I love spinach. You can bet I have a big ol ham hock just waiting for these. Lol, ok, I'll use it before then, but I will have more when it comes time to can. And I love the humidity thermostat! I've always wondered about the humidity levels here in Ok. MS has nothing but humidity and here it is drier but we do have our days sometimes. When it rains, I always feel like I'm back home. My entire body is like, ahhhh. Lol.

For everyone else... Thank you all so much for the trades. I'm so excited to be able to plant these. Today I have good weather so I'm off to do a bit of winter sowing while I can. Yes a great deal is getting done today, lol. I have really enjoyed this swap with you all and look forward to chatting with you throughout the season. I'll be ready when we it's time to swap again thanks to you all. You are dreams come true. Group hug

I double-checked and it looks like everyone should have received their seeds today except, possibly, Elena. Sad The system hasn't been updated since Saturday night for her shipment, though, so it's tough to say.

Elena ( @bxncbx) , I'm sending good thoughts your way in the hopes that the postman can (safely) deliver the seeds to your house today or tomorrow. No matter what happens, though, I hope you're safe, warm, and doing okay! Sending you a mental hot chocolate (warm, sweet thoughts). Group hug

Nope, nothing today but I'm not surprised. We got 27.6 inches of snow on Saturday and the airports just reopened today. So it'll be a couple of days but that's fine. I just hope the weather guys are wrong when they talk about another storm coming Thursday night!

Thumbs down Bummer. I imagine they will be there before then, though. Wishful thinking, perhaps, but optimism can't hurt, right?

Got mine today!!!!! Thank you @DogsNDaylilies for hosting this swap. Thank you also for sending the note, extra seeds, & growing instructions. To answer your letter, we've eaten rice 2 or 3 times a week, mostly Hoppin John, & added cooked rice to the dogs' food. We still have about a fourth of a bag left. I don't think I'll buy a 10 pound bag ever again. The pilaf I made turned out great but its still too soon to talk about the rice pudding. Just kidding. It was disgusting. I used splenda & it turned out waaay too sweet. I will never ever try to make it again.

@HoosierHarvester, @DogsNDaylilies, @BXNCBX, @RickCorey, @jvdubb, @KarenHolt, @Littlecheryl, @Heavenlyfarm, & @Jimard8, thank each & every one of you for the seeds. I really appreciate it & can't wait to get them started. And @Littlecheryl, what a cute little stitchin!!!!

Great Karen! I had to guess, and guessed "spinach". I have a few other kinds of spinach that I didn't list in the swap because I "only" have 2-3 packets. But if I still have 2 packets of something next year, and you still have an interest in smaller packets of vegetables and greens, some will go into the swap.

'Piccolo' Spinach F1- Spinacia oleracea 'Piccolo'
"Vigorous and high yielding". Large, dark green, upright plant. Long tender stems. Cold tolerant. Slow bolting. Resists Downy Mildew Pfs 1-12. Tainong Seeds 2015

'Bou Cai' Spinach F1 Heat tolerant. Resists Mosaic and Downy mildew.
Large dark green upright plant. Long tender stems. Big, slightly pointed leaves. Tainong Seeds 2015

These are probably all gone and/or too old:
"Oriental Spinach" Spinacia oleracea F1 HYBRID Big, dark green, slightly pointed "arrowhead" leaves. Long tender stems.
Tolerates heat, Mosaic and Downy mildew. Thiram. Tainong 2011

I probably sent these:
Spinach, Winter Giant 'Gigante d'Inverno'
Spinach 'Monstrueux de Viroflay'

I probably sent more Bok Choy than you will grow in the foreseeable future. But you can always sow them thickly in very early spring and cut them after 2-3 weeks when they have just a few pairs of leaves, as a garnish or baby greens to decorate a salad. You can even do that indoors in a shallow tray, in mid-winter.

Everyone here is opposite when it comes to adding instructions and labels , I do not do a good job of either , Probably because , if I know how (thinking does that ) Shrug! Hilarious! If I have instructions , I will look up so many instructions that by the time I plant Confused ,,,
it is " plant the seed , hope the mix is right , unto this is how a plant should grow from a seed ,, " put the seed in a pot of dirt , that's suppose to be how "" that kind of thing ,, Hilarious!
You know ,, this photo explains , what happens to me ,, I have a big clear bag to go over this ,, But ,,,, All this for one ,, and only one tomato Confused Blinking Hilarious! uh ,, yeah .... Blinking Hilarious!
Thumb of 2016-01-26/jimard8/7a865f Good humor ,, better tomatoes ,,, only sometimes ,, I make myself wonder ,,

I agree I meant to say something about that, too!

Kathy, I'm so happy you liked everything! Sorry to hear about the rice pudding. ..mental note to self: don't use Splenda to make rice pudding, if I ever try. (I don't use Splenda, so I might be okay if I ever try the rice pudding thing...I wonder if organic raw cane sugar crystals would be to sweet, though.)

Littlecheryl, you are most welcome! I saw that you liked lettuce and many Brassicas that I like, so I took the liberty of putting in some extras.

I also want to thank everyone who chose things that I like or am proud of. What good taste we have!
