The banner picture is beautiful. My favorite is the multi colored one in the hanging basket Cinda's orange and yellow one. Did you take your banner picture? It's beautiful.

Lynn, I was just thinking that it would be fun to use purslane as a pressed flower and we could make collages or ??? with them. You could teach us over in A Crafty Cubit! (hint hint!)
I have a wonderful book with a pressed flower cover and also some bookmarks...maybe YOU can figure out how we can do it!
You are so cute Becky I do need to start posting some projects..I know it, I will, gotta get taxes done though, gotta amend last years so i can do this years though, bummer ;(
I am not sure the purslane flowers will dry well It has a lot of moisture, but I bet it would be a good flower to ?? do not know the proper term ..but you smash the flower on a piece of cloth and it leaves a color stain pattern.
May I suggest tabs on the phone book especially if it is a thick one. I once spent almost an hour trying to find a specific flower in a 2 1/2 '' phone book
I took a couple of courses at the college where we'd often go out and ID plants. We had to press plant specimens for our notebook to hand in. And I DID lose some in those phone books!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
