Oh I've been taking it easy alright to the point of boredom.
Ready to have more energy but not quite there yet.
My 2 week check up is this coming Monday
and they start you on "mushies" (soft foods)
which will be a treat after 2 weeks of nothing but
water, zero cal drinks, protein drinks and bariatric soup (tastes like vomit.)
I've lost 30 lbs. since my 2 week pre-op diet began.
Coming off so fast its scary but that's what happens.
It tapers off after awhile.
Kind of funny...I can only see difference in my lower
legs, hands, tummy and face. Still about 60 - 70 more lbs. to go.
Enjoying the glorious, early, autumn days here in Michigan!

congrats Vicky !!!! I'v known a couple people that have had that done the first few weeks are the hardest sounds like your doing great just go slow

Only problem I ever saw with people (men/women both) doing these kinds of surgeries IS that they lost MASSIVE amounts of weight.. and then had to have reconstructive surgery for the excess skin everywhere. Let's hope that doesn't happen to much with you!! But sounds like you're making awesome progress.. lot better than I am (and I'm busting my patookie at the gym almost every night!!).

Charleen...I LOVE Mules!!! and use to have some standard Donkeys.
I had a Morgan mare that we bred to a jack but she didn't take.
Wanted a saddle Mule so bad but it never happened.

With bariatric sugery you have no option... the first 6 months you lose FAST then it slows down.
No matter if you lose fast or slow your skin might shrink back a little bit if you're younger and depending on your genetics but it typically stays stretched out no matter what you do and no matter how much you exercise.
I have a petite, very trim girlfriend who had 5 pregnancys. To this day her belly skin is *very* saggy and she works out like crazy.
I know I'm going to have lots of hanging skin on my abdomen, upper arms and thighs but we'll see how bad it is.
I may have to have it removed.

Everybodies bodies react different to sagging. As I grow older and thru the year I have had "shape shifting" I have told folks this and they did I'm goofy. but that's o.k. We will go thru changes and I'm wishing and hoping all yours are what you want. I am so proud of you and for you....
