Thus far I have been really drawn to TBs, but more recently I have been taking notice to medians, specifically SDBs and MDBs. There have been many new intros from various hybridizes this season that have caught my eye with their spectacular colors and flower patterns. I have a lovely old stone wall in my front yard that would look even nicer with medians along the top. It is pretty long so I have plenty of room to build a beautiful median garden. There are so many to choose from so I would love to see some of your favorites!

It is so hard to pick favorites, Liz. I guess if I had to limit myself on medians I would try and choose an outstanding one in each color and color pattern. I would go from white, something like White Gem

There are not many white medians that are a good white. Most have shades of other color on them.

to a very dark like Dark Matter

Thumb of 2016-02-12/grannysgarden/a774bc

And then choose both vibrant colors that shout to you across the garden and the subtle soft beauties that are meant to be seen up close to be appreciated.

Good heavens, it is hard to pick favorites with these little ones.

Of mine that have bloomed I would include:

Thanks so much everybody! I didn't realize there were so many choices. I guess my favorites are the really bold ones. Reds, dark purple, and a vibrant pink would be my favorite colors I think, but a whole rainbow of colors is nice too Big Grin I really like the ones with blue beards. I will check out the forums, and sites that you all have mentioned. This is very exciting for me and only adds to my iris addiction Hilarious!

Liz, you can use the ATP database to search for specific Iris characteristics. Might help narrow down an initial selection...or not. Hilarious!
