Thank you Debra. I tip my hat to you.
I did find it on the Hummingbird website, but when I click on the photo it comes up Halloween Pumpkin which looks nice too.
Edit to say:
Halloween Pumpkin must be nice because it's already sold out.

grannysgarden said:Lovely irises, Carl. Your unknown IB looks a lot like IB Lemon Pop.

I looked up Lemon Pop and they do look a lot alike. I also looked up our planting records and guess what was planted right next to Fond Remembrance before the last time we dug and replanted them? You guessed it, Lemon Pop. I'm going with "Case Solved". Thanks.

Leslie, both the database pic and the pic that I took yesterday of 'Luminosity' were taken in shade, so no joy there.

I did manage to grab a minute just now to go out and check on the bloom, mostly intending to sniff it and verify the musky fragrance (yes, check!). To my surprise, the beard color is now the golden orange that is displayed in the database, as opposed to the lemon yellow that it was yesterday.

What the heck?! Confused I know that bloom colors can fade over time, but do beard colors change? Do they intensify? Blinking

Oh, and I scrolled back to look at the 'Hells' Fire' pics and read the comments. Hmm... I don't care for tailored blooms (and certain names), but that is a nice color... and I'm still waiting for Nola's to open... Whistling

Poly, Gary Prevost said they were trying for the end of February. I noticed some choices I made earlier in my draft order are now shown as out-of-stock, so I think they are getting close!

Thanks for that info, Debra.

I did notice that they have 'Hell's Red' as out-of-stock. Glare But Bluebird Haven (if and when they ever open) has it...

There is a note at the bottom of the website that says to ask if you want one shown as out of stock to let them know and they would see if they could get one. Can't hurt to ask. Smiling

I have never paid enough attention to the beards to notice if they deepen in color, but I could see that it may happen. Change in pigmentation as it ages.

I thought this photo might be of some interest.
It is two of Marilyn's arilmed seedlings.
The interesting thing is that they are reciprocal crosses.
The taller one is the SDB Smell the Roses x AB Kalifa's Robe.
The short one is Kalifa's Robe x Smell the Roses.

What a difference it makes to switch pod with pollen parent. I always wondered how much difference it would make and now I see. I love the IB Youngblood. Very nice photos.

Lucy, does the cross usually take on the pod parent characteristics vs the pollen parent in a cross?

The theory is that the pod parent has more to do with the plant; so would use a excellent growing pod parent.
