Solved as Intermediate Bearded Iris (Iris 'Crimson King') Thank you all.

I think this is a very old iris but not sure really. It always blooms in Feb. usually the only iris blooming then. The petals a like tissue paper and they all flop down or over like falls at the least provocation. Any one know the name?

Leslieray, some of the experts will chime in (which I am definitely not Hilarious! ), and it might help them if you know how tall it gets and the approximate bloom size. Also, does the foliage have a purple base? Sometimes that helps to eliminate incorrect ones.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.

I thought Crimson King originally with the white beard. My lighting matches up a little too.

Yes yes Crimson King! Very old. Much thanks. It is everywhere here so thick they dig it out and throw hundreds of them away. Still there easy to spot all over blooming with the Daffodils.

It's a vigorous grower and a very early bloomer. I really like it.

Y'all know this is how you get that noid you can't ID right? People apply these guested names to plants. I spend 4 or 5 hours a day looking at photos of iris and I can't positively ID it. I suspect one someone mentioned but not the one y'all have settled on the only way to ID is side beside growth cause there are a hundred that match this disruption. Please don't apply that name to your iris without growing them side beside.

It had been previously ID'd but I could not remember it. When it was mentioned I recognized the name. They have been growing in the cemetery long enough for dozens of 20 by 20 foot plots to be jam packed with just this one iris. Many have since been thinned and thousands tossed. We have a constant flow of Master Gardeners, Rosarians, Garden Clubs and experts on a wide variety of plants from near and far. Lots of advise available from all quarters. Appreciate it all. Thank you for yours. I tip my hat to you.
