I was just wondering if it would be possible to create a printer friendly Local Report? I would like to print one out for each plant and take it down to the garden with me to fill out, then come in and have the info ready to upload in an orderly fashion.
Why would you fill out a local report at the garden center? A local report is about plants that you actually grow in your own garden and how well they do there.

I have kept a small notebook with a page for each plant as I add them to my collection. I put important info on them in the notebook, i.e. date received, maybe price sometimes, Name, etc. then as they progress I make notes and dates. I then have a file on each species that I print out the info on the internet I have researched. It has worked well for me. Maybe it would help you keep your records. They are important if you are truly interested in keeping your plants happy. Good luck with your record keeping.

Eh....I think I said garden, not garden center.
Ah geez... you sure did. Well I had been reading some garden center related threads so, I'll just call it Thought Transference due to age related brain fog.
JB, the notebook idea works well I am sure, but no one can see the info but you. The Local Report is meant to be shared on this site with others. So I was thinking I would be more likely to fill one out if I could just take the form with me down to the garden and fill it out in the same order which the info would be asked for on the actual Local Report here on site.
Edited to add: This for me would be mostly daylilies, but it does not have to be limited to daylilies.

Larry, I have been MIA for months due to an injury and I did not read back posts thoroughly. Bad Me. That is a great idea to share and now that I have some time I will look into the "Local Report" so I do not speak when I shouldn't.

Seedfork said:JB, still the notebook idea is good, I use the blog feature here on ATP as my notebook.
I tried that but some days my sight is not as good as it should be (at 87 somethings got to give) and I find my little notebook easier to deal with. I wish I could go paperless because it gets really out of hand when you stay in the business as long as I have.
This is sort of what I was wanting to be printed out, but I would like for the drop down boxes to be shown open with the selections visible so they could be checked off.
Thanks
Well, I looked into this and it's not something that's going to be easily done because I never designed this form with an eye toward one day making it printable.
It might happen one day but not in the near future.
I went ahead and typed up my own version with the selections, but I did it in "Works" so I have no idea hot to make it printable here.
I tried printing this out, and it does print, but the back ground is gray instead of just plain white, but it is "printable" to some degree.
