Altho I usually just wear my old birkenstocks. Moving an osmanthus today, all the dirt in them, when down in a hole, just wasnt working for me.

Old nasty tennis shoes that feel great but look and smell horrible. I also have old reebok clogs that I wear as house shoes and I will wear them gardening also if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to mess with tennis shoes.

Walmart sneakers. At $9.87 they're ideal for all outdoor work.

I like sloggers garden shoes they are waterproof and have a comfy removable insole, so you can clean them up easily with a garden hose.

Thanks, and thats my problem, Im so tired of always having sand in my shoes, but I hate to take the time to have to lace up. Something more waterproof than birkenstocks is a must.

They make waterproof booties for gardening that might work for you. Pretty easy to find these. Amazon has quite a selection also.

Most of the time I wear a Crocs look-alike that I have. But when I need a bit firmer sole, I've got an old pair of running shoes that is repurposed for the garden.

O I like the booties. I have full on boots like that, but dont like to take the time to put them on, and they are hot in the summer. These look pretty easy to get in and out. Thanks

I do wear crocks when just watering or something.

Saucony tennis shoes, they are about $60 pr but I wear good quality supportive shoes when I work on my feet. Wear walmart cheapies in the house or out shopping.
