Love the blooms Carol! I am still on a waiting game got some buds, thankful they are still holding on and getting a cool overnight then warm conditions, so it is pacing itself nicely.

Thanks, Tarev! I wish they weren't all facing south, but that's where the sun has been. Maybe the later bloomers will face west so I can see them. Hilarious!

This will be the first year in quite a while that I have had blooms. Seems like the plants have struggled until last year, but now I have already had 1 flower and 1 opening now and more buds. I am so excited to see the buds.
I set mine up on pots to help get them off the ground, but every day it seems like 2 or 3 have been knocked off their pedestals. ( I don't know if it is squirrels, or dogs). I need to put them all in hanging baskets or urns to keep them off the ground, I just haven't figured out how to do it quite yet because they do have to be taken indoors for the winters and I have to consider my space limitations. ( Somehow I forget about those limitation when I see new ones I think I need.)

This one is opening now. It is labeled German Empress. Today the bloom is beginning to turn more pink, but it still has a day or two before it opens completely. This little flower was a surprise . I didn't realize it had a bud on it .

I have one 'German Empress' ( Deautch Kaiserine) starting to bloom Too. They are notoriously short lived, so take cuttings.

Latest blooms:
The pick one is Jinx Falkenberg. It bloomed on an old cutting that I nearly threw out. So small enough to bring indoors on the table for one day (happy easter)

Last night Curly Locks bloomed for the first time. (November 2014 seed) Its a night bloomer, really strange small lemony cream blooms on a long stalk.

CTCarol, does your German Empress open white and then turn pink like mine seems to be doing?

Too breezy for a photo now, but I'll try in the AM. They are pale when they first open, and appear almost white, but when fully opened , definitely pink.

Thanks for that. I was wondering if mine was mislabeled or something because I knew they were supposed to be pink.

I have been taking photos every day. I will post some later on. I found two more buds on it today and 1 on raspberry ribbons. Can't wait.
