Keith Keppel is on Facebook, and I always enjoy reading what he has to say, and his iris photos are
so gorgeous- but my eyes just crossed when I tried to absorb what he said about glaciatas - and why they
have the colors that they do. It's not him, it's me! I'm still working on what's a plicata! Confused

glaciata is the version of plicata inherited color without the markings. Keith invented the term.

Just a suggestion here -- I think we should stick to the topic name of the thread, and not get side tracked. The title of this one is "What Keppel Irises *do you currently have* in your garden? Doing a take-off in to *What Keppel Irises do you want* is a whole 'nother subject -- and could be a follow-up thread the following week.

Doing this would keep things easier to locate if someone needs to take a backward look -- and gives us a shot at another high-volume thread on the next weekly Newsletter. Smiling

Any thoughts?

Sounds good to me, we do tend to string these threads out over time,

I could list my wants and nearly hit 500 posts. Hilarious! If I dare looked into the little ones and beardless irises it could easily double. *Blush*

Well, if you listed wants by each hybridizer then it still would be a long thread, but not as long.

Sounds like a good plan. I will save my wants for another thread. smiles
