DH is always, I mean always making songs go his way. One of the funniest was while he was singing (if you can call it that) in front of a group of our friends. MC Hammer's Hammer Time was on the boom box. He started dancing, again, if you can call it that, and sung out, "Half Time!" in stead of "Hammer Time". I think we all laughed for about 5 mins.

Was there beer involved?

The funny way we hear things. The other night I mentioned to my husband during dinner that I had used a seasoning pouch. He looked at me strangely and asked what seeds?

He heard "I used to have seeds in my mouth"

I guess he was expecting you to be talking gardening, Jean!

Then he certainly would not have been listening...

At least he asked "what seeds"

My hubs "hears" ( I use that word "hears" loosely ) me say all sorts of nonsensical things...I know it by his face and the fact that he can't hear unless I am yelling at him and standing in front of him.

He feels bad that he can't hear...and worse doesn't tell me when he is not sure what he heard.

I hate repeating myself.....he knows that....... getting old ain't for sissies....truly.

But damn...how come he can hear the cookie bag opening from upstairs in his nest??

My husband keeps coming out with statements that are totally unrelated to anything else we've been talking about or doing (for all I know, I do this too, but I don't notice it because it's following some train of thought in my mind); for instance, the other day we were driving down the road, miles from home, when he said "the drain in the back is really flowing right now." After processing that for a few seconds I finally came up with "the drain pipe out in back of our house?" Yep. Oh... good to know...

My son always saw me drinking tea. When he learned the Pledge of Allegiance, his version was: ...with a cup of tea and justice for all.

Saying the blessing before a meal, lettuce thank Him for our food.

My young DD loved her "Girl Cheese" sandwiches with "Naynays"

Like all children, my son knew not to say bad words.
Having had a heart condition from birth he missed out on a lot of socialization with other kids...no preschool....etc

When he started kindergarten, everything the other kids did shocked him. If there were tantrums...I heard about it. If the kids answered the teacher back ...I heard about it... If they got in trouble, I heard about it.... He got to be such a tattletale.

One day, after picking him up from school...he clearly was very excited
"Mom..Mom!! Danny said a BAD word...he said the B word!!!" (Danny was clearly his HERO)

He did?

"Yes, the B word mom, and he did not even get in trouble because the teacher did not hear him!" "Do you want to know what the word was?"

Sure

"Guess! "

Brat?
"Nope"
Bugger?
"No! .." THE B WORD, Ba..Ba.. B!"

Now he is disgusted that I am not "getting" it
