Zone 2b here but we've had a really mild winter and even milder Spring. I have irises, daylillies, peonies and even speedwell coming up all over the place. Trees are ready to burst out a month earlier than usual. Next week is looking to be even warmer so I've taken the whole week off to go out and clean out and Spruce up my flower beds. Yeah!!

It is a beautiful time in Alberta!
But it is so very dry here--I think all the plants need watering soon.

On one of the other threads it was said that Minnesota was going to have a six inches or some such of snow even though it was 80 where they were yesterday. Nutty weather, eh?

Getting too dry here, haven't had rain in quite some time and none predicted for at least another week. It's been warm enough that I can work in the garden in the afternoons, usually a bit cold in the morning, like today was 28F when I got up, nice and sunny though.

We are to dry too and we have had so much wind which dries it even more. It was warm out this morning so I tried to work out but the wind was so bad that I couldn't get the dried stuff into my pail, it would blow back in my face and if I set the pail down, it would blow away. Finally had enough and gave up. Thumbs down

Susie, we have had a lot of wind here too and it is annoying when your trying to clean up. The wind is up here again this afternoon, I was thinking of going out there to do a little more edging and weeding but the dirt would probably just blow in my face. Grumbling

Ugh! Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be in our forecast... Sticking tongue out

I heard online that even airports were shutting down in MN because of the snow. Strange.

I saw on the Weather Channel this morning that Colorado got a bunch of snow and airports were closed down, but I didn't hear anything about MN... which doesn't mean much, I wasn't paying all that much attention.

No snow here in our area of MN, my daffs are blooming along with my magnolia tree our weather this weekend will be summer like. Then next week it will cool down again but, still above freezing a typical MN spring. Some parts of Colorado they say will get up to four feet of snow.

Could have been in the northern part of MN which borders Canada, we have a large state with plenty of varying weather.

Rolling my eyes. Yup. We are familiar with that. The weather from the southeast of Alaska (all but rainforests) up to Prudhoe Bay ice fields, and then on down the Aleutian Chain gives us a pretty wide zone spread also. Amazing differences. Below zero on the coast and then in the 90's in the middle. Rolling on the floor laughing

You're way ahead of me, Betty -- my daffodils are only a few inches tall right now (pretty much the same as my garlic). And so true about the varying weather -- shoot, the weather in the Michigan UP varies wildly from where I am (in the south, by L. Michigan) to the north (up on L. Superior). At least all of the snow is gone from my garden now (for about the 3rd time this year), and from the yard except in the shadiest places Smiling .

Spring peepers today -- need I say more?? Hurray! Hurray!

My daffies are also only a couple of inches high but I am thrilled to see them. Crocus are lovely. And an Arabis has tiny white blooms on it. It is always the first other than spring bulbs to bloom.

There will be no 6" of snow in Minnesota-at least not at my house. I forbid it! We could use some rain, though.......(it was 80 degrees here today-I'm just a little NW of Minneapolis).

No snow up north either. It was a beautiful day here today, Tete-a-Tete daffodils are blooming along with crocus and snowdrops and Siberian Squill.
We need rain too, we had very little snow in the winter and no rain other than a sprinkle. Hope it's not going to be another dry summer! Crossing Fingers!

Deb -- 80 degrees ?! We didn't even make it to 60... which is the downside of L. Michigan, which will at other times keep us warmer than surrounding areas. But, a beautiful day even at 60, and I would have been HOT at 80, so it's all good Thumbs up
