Poly -- remind me about it in June -- would you please? I have not been able to transfer my *trade list* from my old computer to my new one. I'm working on that -- but I've got so much going on here, that I'm sure to forget.

I haven't mentioned it -- but my husband had surgery last week. It was discovered that he had two subdural hematomas -- and needed brain surgery right away. The surgery went well, but all of the down time has aggravated his COPD and he's really struggling with that. My workload has doubled -- and I barely have time to read here, much less get my computer up to speed.

So -- just give me a heads-up, OK? Same thing goes for anyone else that I've promised Irises to. Best thing to do is send me a tree-mail -- that way I'll have something to remind me.

so sorry about your husband! You are having a tough year. Please stay strong and do what you need to do. We will still be here for you when you have less on your plate.

Mary Ann, we will be thinking about you, and praying for a quick recovery for your husband.

Yup lots of good thoughts and advice here. Keep yourself healthy, you have a lot to take care of. Life can be quite a journey at times. Hope your husband recovers quickly.

How fortunate they caught the hematomas in time. Sorry to hear that his COPD is worse; hope it is improving now. Just don't overdue it yourself. I know from experience that when a loved one is ill, we tend to put our own needs on the back burner.

Well -- turns out he also has a bad cold! So much of the coughing and struggling to breathe is a cold working it's misery on him. His appetite has picked up a little, the cough is letting up a little and he finally had a good nights sleep last night. That always makes a difference. So I think we're finally seeing the up side. Phew.

You're right about the *journey* part Tom. Lots of journeys I could live without!!

So glad to hear improvements are in the works. Spring is an uplifting time even though it brings its own share of colds and sniffles. I hope both of you stay strong.

Mary Ann, I hope he gets well soon. I just got over being sick that lasted for quite a while. I have mild copd and its not fun.

Oh my goodness Richard -- I'm glad that you finally got over it. Being sick is no fun -- being sick when you have COPD is just awful.
