This swap has been going on for something of over a decade, I'm thinking 15 years or so.

In the past, we've posted it on one forum on another site, so this is a kind of request for new friends.

You can see the preliminary details at this link.

http://www.houzz.com/discussio...

but the pavilion is actually Pavilion 1, close to the entrance to the park.

There's another thread for haves & wants & pre-trades.
(I haven't figured out how to post 2 links without losing this thread.)

Please come to the swap, bring friends, neighbors, children, spouses, people you hijack on the street.

You can bring a lot of things, or a few things, or just your own self, to share garden talk with like-minded fans of soil, greenery, flowers, bees, water, etc.

blueeyes, you might click on the link & "return to gardening in texas" at the top, & look for the San Antonio swap. I've been once, just because I had the time & I wanted to meet the San Antonio people; I had a great time, & the people are loads of fun.

blueeyes, I just realized my post about the san Antonio swap is vague at best.
The San Antonio Swap thread is on the same Texas Forum on gardenweb as the Ft Worth Swap.

hi, javaMom!

Swaps are easy!

Just come to the right place at the right time, & bring your extra plants, seeds, garden art/tools/books/magazines/anything that has anything to do with gardening.
People have brought rocks, compost, & rusted scrap iron (to make art!).

You can go to the link below & post the things you have & ask for the things you'd like to have.

http://forums.gardenweb.com/di...

I notice you asked for irises & daylilies on your other post:
My dear, I have *bunches* of irises, & I'll bring you a big box of them!

Mine are all historic irises that have been around for a long time; they aren't fancy, but they're very healthy & they reproduce well!

I look forward to meeting you!

We got lots of rain but not the damaging rain & hail that hit other areas.
Everything is thriving!
& I got a bunch of hostas from an elderly lady (86) who brought them from Georgia when she moved to Texas many years ago, so even after I plant as many as I can, I'll still have a bunch for the swap.

javamom, will you be at the Ft Worth Swap?
I haven't dug irises yet, & I'll be glad to dig them now, but If you aren't going to be at the swap, I won't dig now but will wait for you to let me know when you'll be somewhere in the area.

Ah, frostweed, I'm sorry to hear it!

Take care, & remember us this autumn; we generally have the fall swap in mid- to late-October, depending on what else is going on in the park & what the weather is doing.
