oh I mixed in coir instead of peat... it was laying out in a container for a while.. figured I would try one with coir and one with peat and see which we like better.. if I get time will try one with sand as well
oh Jen or anyone else that might have picked up the dollar store pumpkins.. they make a stinkin mess .. electrostatic pieces of styrofoam everywhere.. will advise to do that outside .. but for a dollar they are not bad at all realized I have to stick to a simple design ... think it will fall apart if there are too many thin pieces

Neat project Allison, i've been thinking about playing around with hypertufa next spring. Will wait and see how yours comes out and then will decide if I want to attempt or not. LOL
was easier than I thought it would be... hopefully it doesn't crumble when we pick it up.. but I watched enough concrete being laid.. used my hand like a float after it was down.. I can see where it can be easy to get the wrong mix by adding too much water.. or not enough.. good news is with all this humidity the plastic bag looked like it was raining on the inside.. should be and moist under there.. get a better cure I think
here is how it's looking so far.. was surprised I got the one skull out in one piece already.. but since it played nice.. it was added to the tombstone
we bought tons of led lights that we can use for eyes.. either 9v battery or plug in.. went crazy buying individual lights in bulk on ebay... just have to add the power to them.. Randy has that under control .. Randy is good at a lot of things.. he came up with the dollar store pencils in there.. if they get stuck they will be easy to drill out.. so glad I grabbed the pack to keep in the garage .. I always bust his chops and call him macgyver

love those Moby.. will have to give them a try!!.. can you dry them to keep?.. do you think a non gardener would get a love lies bleeding?... and I am bummed I didn't grow any this year
Sounds like fun! You could always make bouquets of dead flowers and grasses to leave around.
The little pumpkins stay on the stem for a long time ~ haven't lost one yet. Some of the most mature fruit look fine aside from being a little wrinkled. This article says they can be dried for decorations. http://muskogeephoenix.com/fea...
Keep those wheels turning!
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?
