what will happen if i sow winter-spring seeds now?
for example.......phlox...nemesia...mathiola....calendula....clarkia...antirrhinum.....
as i presume because it is warming up the germination will be fast because of the warmth naturaly.......but then if they like cold weather does it mean they will(or not reach maturity because of extra heat or just die).........if i keep them in a shady area with no direct sunrays could it help?
or maybe the seeds have a secret code connected to higher reasons like-season(lenght of daylight)?
for example i have one sunflower that survived winter frost and now is in bloom

Try a couple. you are in zone 9'ish I think. Better get moving if you are going to.

Also see wintersown.org . And talk to the Trudi herself...
