I wonder how long my Vanda's roots would be if I wouldn't have put it in the basket...............I was new at Vandas when I got that and didn't know it really did not "need" anything..........
I guess basically, the baskets, regardless of the type of construction, more easily allows you to hang the plant. The wire hangers attached to the baskets, you know.
