I'm lucky -- the folks who built my house moved to GA from Cleveland OH... it's well insulated, so I don't have to turn on a/c until after lunch, most days (I work from home). I do get ALL the afternoon sun, though. SW exposure, and when I moved in there were no shade trees in the front yard. Now, I'm just waiting for the ***stops to count trees she can see from her window*** six trees I can see from my office window to grow tall enough to provide shade.
