Hello friends,

I am new to this forum and daylily and plan to order my daylilies, I picked what I like but don't know if they will be great for my area ( Fort Worth, North Texas zone is 7B) these are my choices but I probably will only get probably half for now :

Blueberry Breakfast,

Lord of Rings

Spacecoast Surprise Purple

Ruby Spider

Absolute Treasure

Awesome Blossom

Edge of your Seat

Two Part Harmony

Siloam Double Classic

Femme de Joie

Circle of Friends

Outrageous Fortune

Orange Velvet

We have a very hot Summer, hardly any Spring (almost all my Daffodils, Hyacinths, Dianthus has been blooming right now). Winter can be mild but we also have some Winter with Snow and Ice..... My soil is basically consisted of Limestone with a little topsoil, so I plant mine in raised beds with amendments...

Thank you so much for your help and have a wonderful and blessed week !

javaMom I do not grow many daylilies. I don't know much about them. But we do have several experts on daylilies. You may want to ask over in the Daylily Forum

I'm sure some members in the Perennial Forum can help you too.

Wish I could help but only grow a couple and we are in very different zones. Hope someone has an answer for you. I agree about trying the dayliles forum.

You will get a better answer over on the daylily forum about specific cultivars but in general if a daylily is listed as dormant it will not do well in your area. It needs a colder, dormant period. Those marked as evergreen or semi-evergreen should do well in the Forth Worth area. Also very dark colored daylilies don't tend to hold up very well is blazing afternoon sun. You can probably look up your daylilies on the plant database to get more information.

It's useless for me to grow them, deer eat buds.
They are worthwhile
Hope someone shows up to help.
