I am working in alstroemeria breeding, but I am having a big problem with the germination of the seeds.
I really need some expert advice to figure this out.

Welcome to ATP
If you are working with hybrids, chances are the seed won't germinate.
I think they need cold stratification to germinate. Put the seeds in damp peat moss in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator for a month.

Im gona read carefully the paper and the web page and take my conclusions... I also think I should move the program more to the embryo rescue technique anyway....

I'm curious to know if Thompson-Morgan's technique for testing viability works. Keep us informed.
Good luck with your program!
