Welcome to ATP Welcome!

If you are working with hybrids, chances are the seed won't germinate.

I think they need cold stratification to germinate. Put the seeds in damp peat moss in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator for a month.

Hi Daisyl

I am giving them cold stratification for 3 weeks... I have tried wet chambers and darkness, but nothing....

Do you know method to test the viability of seeds?

Daisyl and bonitin!!
Wow, great information, I really thank you both.

Im gona read carefully the paper and the web page and take my conclusions... I also think I should move the program more to the embryo rescue technique anyway....

I will tell you my results.
I wish I could payback the help!

I'm curious to know if Thompson-Morgan's technique for testing viability works. Keep us informed.

Good luck with your program!

I have some in the fridge now. First three weeks on heat mat, then three weeks in fridge. I have done it once before but they are hard!!! I had about six germinate and I knocked the container over transporting it and couldn't find the seedlings. Crying Just wasn't meant to be.
