I agree! Some of the loveliest older roses only put on a big show once a year and that's something to look forward to. It's a crazy world where we all want everythign all the time. I happen to really like it that certain things are only available in season. I refuse to eat Asparagus in July; I think Watermelon in December is pretty likely a mortal sin. Hilarious! I had a Paul's Himalyan too once...I am going to get another one of these days. The fragrance is amazing when the whole huge thing blooms.
You make me feel silly complaining about our low temps here in Southcentral PA when it's so much colder in NH! Great blog!
