I agree! Some of the loveliest older roses only put on a big show once a year and that's something to look forward to. It's a crazy world where we all want everythign all the time. I happen to really like it that certain things are only available in season. I refuse to eat Asparagus in July; I think Watermelon in December is pretty likely a mortal sin. I had a Paul's Himalyan too once...I am going to get another one of these days. The fragrance is amazing when the whole huge thing blooms.
