My first year with this plant and I give it a Thumbs up It has an almost overpowering sweet smell , and quite unusual blooms.
Was started from seed (wintersown method) this year.

Nice!!

Are the leaves naturally silvery? Or (like my "regular" bee balm) does it just have a good case of powdery mildew after all the rain?

The leaves turned silver just before blooming.

I've tried to WS seed from spotted beebalm without success... I think it's one of those where you don't even try to separate seeds from chaff, you just crunch up the leftover dried flowerhead and cross your fingers.

I almost pulled it several times . I remember planting it as a wintersown baby and the tag just said beebalm , well it does not look like beebalm or at least any of the others I grow so I thought I had accidentally planted a weed. Glad I left it .
