Good idea. Making is better. Also looks good in birdbath but it does get dirty. Can lift with hands not sharp for most part

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved

Well good. I like it because cheap...and replacing mulch is a pain...plus like my quote say.,if it sparkles...I'm there!

Google it and you can see folks who use it to give appearance of flowing water. It has been years since I looked but I remember seeing lots.

I've been away working and was shocked to come back and read the fun activity on this thread!

Back to the colored river rocks, Lin: buy some concrete paint, water it down, and create a wash over the ones in various colors. ALSO: Acrylic paints watered down a lot will do the same thing but may need refreshing every couple of years. When you paint the rocks, you want the paint to be very watery so the rocks own spots show through.

I think @Trish made river rock feet a couple of years ago. Maybe three? Time flies. Whistling

Lin, I love the atrium too. I do love yellow houses though with black trim and a red front door. Lovey dubby

@GailDion, thank you! We'd love to see more of your rock art. I live in an area where the animals eat almost everything I plant, so I need ideas to beautify our land in other ways. Hardscaping with rocks is a wonderful idea!

Well Thank you
I live in the only desert in Canada and it can get into the +40's, so I've started a cactus, succulent garden. I've let my grass die and filled in with large areas of rocks

Hi Gail, I had no idea that Canada even had any desert area. You must have to use only the cold hardy cacti and succulents.
Your pic didn't show up. Did you click on the "upload an image" button below the box? If you browse to your photo in your computer, and then open it, it should upload properly. Please try again. We'd love to see your rock areas!
